Zorak, Thank you for the help. We ended up not needing to do this back in January, but now another situation came up where we wanted to do this for a different account. I follwed the instructions and credited equity account number 3202-101 and the money shows there. Next question: Normally when I re...

Posting Credit Memos
I have a question about credit memos. We use invoices and payments for registration to our sports ministry. One of our parents over paid by 10.00 and wants to credit that to the next sports season. I created an invoice for 90.00, and properly posted the 90.00 to the invoice. I created a credit memo ...

Moving Money to a Restricted Account Within the Fund
Good evening everyone, I hope someone can answer this question.
I need to move $200 from the checking account (01-1110) to a restricted account (01-4210-102). Is it possible to do this? If so how?
Thanks
Dave

Reindex Accounting files Error Message
I am having a problem reindexing my files. I can reindex all of the indexes except the accounting index.
Each time I try to do this I get an error message saying someone else is logged on. I am the only user. Is it important to be able to complete this reindexing process?
Thanks
Dave

Neil, Thanks for the help. Next question I set this up as a pass through account. We get the contribution and cut a check to the church that takes care of the orphanges. I set the account up a 2330 (Liability) Did I do that right? Under what account series would I set up the pledge fund? Thanks Dave
