Re: another 941 issue
Sorry Neil. I must have been half asleep. Meant SS and Medicare. i have checked and rechecked the item descriptions and everything seems correct. Don't see anything to suggest taking out anything that should have not been. Like stated earlier, can't understand why the tax deposit report for quarter ...

Re: on line contributions
Yes fees are accounted for by crediting to 01-1140 and debiting to expense account. Like you said, multiple deposits.

Re: on line contributions
I do understand. Have a contribution fund set up for on line offering with an on line deposit account debited and an on line income account credited. When making a deposit to the main account, debit bank account and credit on line deposits. This has always worked fine in the past because the amount ...

on line contributions
We enter all of the on line contributions at month end. Normally these are just posted to contributions as the amount often disagrees with what the vendor actually put in the bank. Some one posted January to fund accounting which of course created a deposit which is incorrect. I can just reverse the...

Restarting accounting and beginning balances
Read several posting on the subjects but none address the complete issue so help is appreciated. Restarted Accounting and entered beginning balances for asset and liability accounts. Re: beginning balances
Thank you for your insight Neil. The only problem seems to be that when the new system was set up, the correct starting date of December was not used. Is there a fix to this now other than contacting technical support?

Re: beginning balances
I admit I am totally confused at this point. Earlier your statement was "You shouldn't have an income for the restricted fund balance accounts, income is counted in the year it was received. That's why I thought it needed to be removed because it was put in a beginning balances when setting up the n...

Re: beginning balances
Would this not be impacted by the fact that system was starting new with no prior data. How would it know the income was there if not added as a beginning balance.

Re: beginning balances
So does something have to be done to remove those beginning balances. I guess I misunderstood about the income being retained.

beginning balances
restarted power church for 2019 and believe I allowed the system to set up the beginning balances but not sure. The trial balance shows the restricted accounts asset accounts with the beginning balances. Is this correct or should it be the income account? Also didn't realize that I needed to allow f...

fica taxe error
For unknown reasons, an earlier pay check processed for the pastor had fica taxes taken out, and it was not caught. I have corrected the maintain item description which had apparently gotten checked incorrectly. Do I just void and redo the check in payroll to correct the issue. Thanks.

Re: 941 issues
" Employee Contributions to an IRA are pre-tax contributions; this income will be taxed when its withdrawn. in another section, " The employee deductions are subject to SS & Medicare." does the first sentence only refer to fed withholding?
