When I run the W2 reports, PowerChurch says that only 2019 tax forms are supported. Will PowerChurch be updated soon for the 2020 forms. We use the E-file option. It looks like the 1099 reporting has been updated for 2020.
Thanks,

Revised 941 for Q2 2020
Will PowerChurch be upgraded for the 941 being revised (still in draft) for the FFCRA and ERC credits?

Re: New W4 for 2020
Sorry, I should have been more clear. The W4 form is changing for 2020 and will no longer use allowances. But employees may opt to use the form they currently have on file. Based on the IRS FAQs, payroll systems should be able to accommodate both options. I'm wondering how PowerChurch will handle th...

New W4 for 2020
I searched and didn't see any posts related to W4 for 2020. Will PowerChurch handle the updated form?

Computer Purchase & Depreciation
This is really a somewhat related question, not a reply. A computer was purchased prior to our starting to use PowerChurch in 2018 and I want it on the books as an asset. Then we will recognize the related depreciation as an expense. The debit would be to an asset account, and I think the credit is ...

Re: Automatic Backups
I wonder if it's worth asking PowerChurch development to consider addressing. It really isn't a good solution to rely on someone remembering to run a backup before they go home.

Automatic Backups
Has anyone come up with a solution to running daily backups with PowerChurch Online? It seems like the only way to do this is to run a manual backup at the end of the day and then copy it to an onsite and offsite location. [*]This is not a totally satisfactory solution. My understanding is that the ...

Re: State Tax Calculation Error
It happens with PowerChurch Plus and PowerChurch Online. We converted to Online just this week, so I still have the Plus environment around, and I saw the behavior in both systems. I was tempted to let this go, since I found a way to fix it, i.e., deleting the state tax record and then re-adding it....

State Tax Calculation Error
I happened to notice something strange with payroll this week. When I got to the final payroll screen I wanted to check something, so I clicked on the payroll item detail for one of our employees. At that point, I noticed that the net amount of the check was different on that screen from the net amo...

Re: 403b employer contribution
I just ran the 941 and it does calculate income correctly, i.e., it subtracts the employee 403b deferral from income. I had to manually subtract the deferral from the quarterly payroll report to reconcile the amounts. The 403b is new this year. It's been quite an education!

Re: 403b employer contribution
I confused my question by tagging this to my first post (as you said, EMPLOYER contribution). Either by following the setup instructions in the manual or by luck - can't remember which - I did set it up as properly, i.e., as you indicated in your reply. I did have a moment of panic when I read what ...

Re: 403b employer contribution
Returning to this topic now that I am filing quarterly taxes. The employee contribution is pre-tax, but when running the selected payroll data report I don't see this. The 403b contribution is listed as a separate item on the report, but it does not reduce income. I ran a W2 to see how it is reporte...

403b employer contribution
I want to make an employer contribution to our church's 403b on behalf of our pastors. First question: The only payroll item that seems appropriate is income and it would be non-taxable. Is this correct? Second question: I want the debit to be to an expense account, something like "403b contribution...

Re: Medical Information Labels
I also want to vote for cell phones to print on the labels from data stored in the parent's record. Currently we are storing the number as a note and we have to ask for it every week. It slows down the check-in process and increases the chance of an error with critical information. I think there is ...
