Re: Stock Donation Contribution Statement
I searched before posting but everyone seems to have a different idea. I settled on writing the acknowledgement letter to state the name of the company and number of shares. For the contribution statement, we created a Stock Transfer contribution and listed the value given on the date of transfer fr...

Re: Stock Donation Contribution Statement
I spoke to the IRS and they pointed me to Pub 1771 and for written acknowledgement is says to describe the non-cash contribution (not the value) so I took out the value from the receipt. On the contribution statement I made a contribution for Stock Transfer and gave credit for the value stated on ou...

Stock Donation Contribution Statement
We had a capital campaign and 3 members donated stock (each over $5000) to our brokerage account. I am getting a lot of different information as to how to provide the individual with a statement. On June 15 we received 10 shares of say Exxon and the statement from the brokerage firm says that the va...

Re: Crashes when trying to Print Contribution Statements
Neil,
As always fast as usual!
It's networked and it seems to be a buffering issue. I got them printed by doing small batches (3 batches to be exact) about 150 total. It's a Konica minolta printer I think, I just left the church to pick up my son.
Well at least is worked!

Crashes when trying to Print Contribution Statements
I am trying to print the member contribution statements, about 150 or so and when it goes to process it after running through the selections, the program crashes and disappears. I have gotten it to show me the statements too, and when I select print it crashes. Any ideas?

Money given to me for our Priest
I had a member of our Church hand me a $500 check and said that it was for the Priest, a Christmas gift made anonymously. I was wondering how to correctly handle this situation. My thought was that I enter it into the contributions module under our gifts/memorial contribution fund and then write a c...

This one has me a little confused, i know it's not hard to do :) We are having a yard sale at the Church and the person in charge of the sale needed some cash to make change. Re: Mailing Labels for Designated Contributors
It would be helpful. I went through the process of creating a report and tried to figure out how to make labels from the output, I have a little work to do on it but can probably get it done.

Mailing Labels for Designated Contributors
We have had a couple of funerals, funds were donated to the Church in memory of those individuals. We send out a thank you letter to each person but I am not able to find a way to search for a specific designation (I set up a memorial fund account and then set up a designation for each individual th...

A/R Invoices
We are a new Church and had our first wedding a few weeks ago. The church purchased the flowers for the ceremony with the agreement that the couple reimburse the church for the amount spent. If I used the AR module and created an invoice with the credit going towards Flower Guild Income Account, wha...

Debit Card
I tried searching the forum but each time I tried to search Debit Card it ignored debit and only showed results for "card". We have a checking account with Wachovia and have a check card with that account. I am trying to figure out how to account for transactions using that card. So far I simply cre...

Assigning a Job
Ok, I have searched the manual and searched the forums and I may be missing something. I have an excel spreadsheet that shows each Sunday and who is serving in what capacity on that particular Sunday, for instance: Sunday 6/12/2011 I have 2 readers, 1 chalice bearer and 1 usher Next week it will be ...
