Training a new user

At the end of this year I am leaving the Treasurer position, and a new person will be taking over and continue to use Powerchurch. First of all, how have others chosen to train their replacement? Was it more efficient to do so one on one piecemeal as time permitted, or was there better luck using a 3rd party with more concentrated instruction?

Also, the new Treasurer will be utilizing a different computer--what is the safest way to transfer the data? Should they load the program into the system from the original v9 CD, download maintanance releases, and then load current data from my backup media?

Thanks for the help.

Answering the second question first: Yes, that is the way I'd do it.

With regard to training your replacement, I'd get them familar with PC+ now, if that would be allowed within your church. You can also contact PC+ and find out if there are any certified trainers in your area. Lastly, you could provide the new person with an installation of PC+ without the church's data and let them get familar with that.

Just some ideas on my part.
