We found information about doing a custom label format in File/Preferences/Mailing Label Setup, but it doesn't give an option to do this particular size label. Is it possible to do these as custom labels in PowerChurch or will we have to do a mail merge with Word? Our label includes a graphic, the child's name, grade and a line for allergies. Detailed information on how to get our labels from PCP would be much appreciated. Thanks.
While I wish I could tell you that creating a custom label format is easy ... I really can't. You would have to start with the basis of a 14 row 2 column label, then modify the height, and adjust the label for the data you want shown, adding the graphic etc. Of course, you'd have to test and print to plain paper to see if your adjustments would fit on the label sheets. If your VBS starts next week, you may not have time to do all this.
It would actually be easier if you used Word.
Now, if you were using Powerchurch Check-In, it would be very easy as the system would print out the labels as the child checked in using an Dymo label writer printer. That's what we did this year, modifying the label format to eliminate things we didn't want, and including the graphic using Dymo label software and rolls of labels purchased through Powerchurch.
