monitor member/visitor mailing list
Our church has about 125 families. We set up personal status codes of member (regular attendance), prospectve (sporadic attendance for 6 months), visitor, & guest (has home church). We have a mailing category for "regular mailings". I'm not sure if this is most effective to keep the mailing list up to date. How do others keep the visitor list up to date? Is there any cross-reference with the attendance tolook at the mailing category? thanks so much for any input!

There are reports under attendence where you can track attendence by personal status where you can pull info by member, visitor, etc.Zoraleigh Ryan wrote:Our church has about 125 families. Our regular mailings mostly go to members and 'friends of the church', we don't send such mailings to visitors or guests.
We update our family profile when a visitor indicates they wish to join or they become regular attendees to 'friends of the church', initially, or to member when they become members.

Zoraleigh's description of how she has their membership & visitors set up sounds every good. I'd like to copy that idea but I just don't seem to be able to get a handle on how to get started with this. Recording & keeping track of visitors is a puzzle to me. I need a reply in kindergarten terms.
Thank you!!!
