bulk email issues
I am trying for the first time to use the bulk email program in PCP. I have set up the outgoing email server in the user setup field like the help file explained. I went through and picked my email addresses, composed the email and sent. I sent out 957 emails and received 950 errors. The 7 sucessful emails were all in house addresses. the outgoing ones did not go. The report states 5.7.1 Unable to relay for (email address). Any ideas on how I can fix that? thanks.

It sounds like your outgoing email server requires some sort of authentication. You may need to supply the username and password in order to send to addresses outside your domain. Check your email client settings (Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc) to see what is set up there for outgoing mail, and do likewise in PowerChurch.

We are using SB2003 exchange server and Outlook. I am the administrator so there shouldn't be any rights issues. I verified the settings and tested again and it gave the all clear. I tried to submit username and password and still came up with the same error.
It is probably something obvious I'm overlooking but can't seem to see it.

We bypass Exchange server and go directly to our ISP connect to their SMTP server.slamjames2 wrote:We are using SB2003 exchange server and Outlook.
