attendance report

I would like to create a custom report that lists only the members of a parish that have been absent in a given month. I know the consecutive absences report will show this but I have two problems with it.1- I want to group the people by their parish so the deacons can have their own report for their parish and 2- we have different service at our church and the standard report will only let you choose one activity and not a range.
If anyone knows how to do this please let me know.
