As we're inputting the salutation (i.e. "Mr. and Mrs. Smith"), is it necessary to input the comma at the end? The manual shows two examples: one has the comma, the other doesn't.

Are you talking about the saluation on the Family Profile ?? AFAIK, we've never used a comma there, I believe the system puts it in when the salutation is used.

You're right Neil, it is a system setting - one you can change in File->Preferences->Family Mailing List Setup
