Data conversion

We are a Power Church "newbie", less than a month on the scene. Up until now, we have been using the demo PC+ for training.

Currently our membership information resides in Membership + (registered trade mark). I wonder if anyone has expierence with converting their data to PC+ (v8.5 or V. 9). In the conversion process is there a way to maintain family members' relaionships (profile)? i.e. Jane, Peter & john belonging to the Doe family. Are there pitfalls? All of our members including children have envelope numbers.

We will not be using the contribution module until 2005 in order to avoid headaches.

I plan to journalize fund accounting data on a monthly basis until 2005, using our current accounting software as a source. Since v.9 allows previous years accounting data comparison, can I enter through monthly Journal entries data from previous years, since I am starting from scratch? (Our current accounting package can give me monthly totals for each calogory of expenses & revenue).

I know that once we are set up properly with PC+, we will have a positive experience with this product. I have read almost every forum discussion. We have been practicing with the demo for about two months.
