Teacher Attendance

We take attendance in Sunday morning worship. Our children Sunday School classes take place during this time which attendance is also taken. For the Sunday School teachers I record them as "Excused" for the morning worship and then have to manually add them as "Present" to the class/activity code they teach. Is this the best way to record teacher attendance? I do not want to double count the teachers.

I'd appreciate any advice/experience. thanks.

ps we are on V8 and whould be upgrading to V9 next week.
