IDS and OSX Lion

It appears that the Mac IDS Client does not work with Lion. I click connect and after about 2 seconds it just closes. I have sent an email to support to see how long it will be until there is a fix.

We have received notification from the developers of the IDS Client that they are working on an update for the Mac client, but we don't have an estimated time frame from them yet as to when it will be published.

We just sent an email out to all our PowerChurch Online customers letting them know this very thing. When the fix does get released, it will almost certainly require a new client download, so we'll send out another email informing when that is ready.

We have received an updated Mac client from our vendor. We have done some testing with it in OSX 10.7 (Lion) and the issues previously reported have been resolved. The new client and installation instructions are available here: http://www.mypowerchurch.com/installmac.html. You do not need to uninstall the existing client - just install the new one over the old and you're good to go.

Sorry about that, apparently the permissions on the file didn't get updated when I copied it over. It should be accessible now.

Also, apparently it is necessary for me to note that this update DOES NOT somehow make the client work on an iPad or iPhone. That is a feature we expect in a future release of the server software, but this is not it.
