I am thinking that if we upgrade to the new version of PC+ and integrate with Vanco, we can offer direct deposit and I can do payroll from my desk vs. using ADP. It would save us quite a bit on fees, would require more time on my part but that is OK.
My questions, for those who use it:
- How do you figure out the withholding and then get it to the IRS? I'm nervous about handling taxes.
- how easy is it to set up direct deposit? Any problems or glitches I should be aware of?
- taxable fringe benefits: Can I set those up?
- housing benefits: ditto?
Anything else I should think of or be aware of before I suggest taking this on? I don't want to say I'll go for it, then get in way over my head
