Weekly Income & expense Report

Hello Everyone,

We are new to PC+ (v.9). We are in need of two reports that may not be already provided by PC+. (The reports may already be provided & I am not yet knowledgable enough to get what we need from PC+).

My Pastor desires a weekly expense & Income report. I know that PC+ can do a monthly report, however, the smallest, date range seems to be monthly in PC+. I know that I might be able to get at the data by printing an unposted contribution report & an unposted transaction report, however this seems cumbersome & the data will not be in an easy to digest form.

I thought about exporting these reports to Excel but I don't want to have to do this weekly, although an excel macro might be able to ease my pain, somewhat.

Our second need is a report of Income & expense that compares the previous year's months with the current year's month, i.e. January 2003 vs. January 2004, April 2003 vs. April 2004, etc.

Has anyone tackled this need?

You're right, the I&E reports are monthly, so getting the weekly numbers would be quite a feat. Unfortunately, this isn't even something you'd be able to do with a custom report. It sounds like your current process is about as good as it'll get for now.

For the previous year information, make sure to include the "Previous Year Actual" and/or "Previous Year to Date" columns in the report. That should show you what you need there.
