Help with posting deposits

I am new to PowerChurch and would like some insight in posting deposits to our checking account. The deposits are from our weekly Tithe & Offering and rental properties we have on our land.

I am entering from Jan 2011 and already have all checks and bill pays/automatic pays posted.

If there is another topic that someone could route me to (as I am sure there has already been a topic about this since it is very basic) I would greatly appreciate it.

If you want to enter each tithe gift per individual, you should use the Contributions module, and assign each individual an envelope number.

You can even assign an envelope number to the rent, and enter it as another offering.

If you want to enter deposit totals, for example, you can enter them directly in Fund Accounting / Enter Transactions

something like this:

DB 01-1100-000 checking
CR 01-4100-000 tithe income

DB 01-1100-000 checking
CR 01-4120-000 rent income

etc.
