941, Box 2

Post by onemore4gsus »

I am still having trouble getting the Box 2 on 941's to calculate correctly.

Is there somewhere a list of what Power Church adds up to yield that number?

Is there a "tax type" or "item description" type list that I can check against?

A side question: Is there a way to deactivate item descriptions? Man, that would make my life a lot easier! I'd rather not delete them.

1. box 2 includes any amount that is normally considered as salary, this does include any sort of income that is normally subject to federal tax. Bonuses and other 'gift's that are given through the church are considered as adding to this amount.

However, items such as housing allowance, that is not considered taxable by the IRS, but taxable under SECA are not included.

2. You don't need to deactivate items, just not use them as part of the pay items.
