chart of Accounts

I want to clean up my chart of accounts by marking all the accounts i dont use as unactive... i can do that for all the detail accounts but i dont know how to for the group accounts. for example when i go to fixed assets 1500 and click on the details only the account and budget tabs are available not the activity - so how do i mark them as inactive?

The reason you can't delete a detail account is because it has previous activity. Therefore, you mark it "inactive".

Group accounts don't have "activity". That is, they don't have any amount posted to them. Therefore, you can delete them.
