I use PC online, my op system is Windows 8.1.
I have looked through many pages of this forum as well newsletters, videos, and the book etc.
I did find one vid but I need more certainty!
Situation: We have and use one bank account. The finance team would like the books to reflect 6 different funds, all using the same bank account instead of how the accounts are currently set up using one fund. I created the new funds. I want to move the accounts from 01 General to the corresponding new fund. For example, move Special Projects and it's sub accounts from 01 to 02 SPECIAL PROJECTS.
I am unsure if I use the move account or combine account options. Do I create accounts in my new fund accounts and then combine them with the corresponding account in O1? And that will for sure include the transactions as well?
Or, if I simply move them, is that the better choice? And will any transactions that have been created in the accounts move to the new fund?
I appreciate all help and comments!
Thanks!

I'm not sure you can "move" accounts to a new fund. You can add the account to a new fund, and mark it inactive in the old fund, but I'm fairly sure you can't 'move' the transactions along with it. The only 'Move' that is currently permissible is to another number or a new number within the same fund.alise wrote:I use PC online, my op system is Windows 8.1.

So this is disappointing. Has this been updated any for PCOnline? I want historical data to migrate to a new Fund. What's the workaround?
Thanks in advance.

You deactivate the account in the old fund. The history remains there, you just add the account to the new fund.Mark Mediary wrote:So this is disappointing. Has this been updated any for PCOnline? I want historical data to migrate to a new Fund. What's the workaround?

There is a reason for this. The account's data was used in all the reports in the old fund. That history needs to remain there, otherwise it would throw all the older reports, audits, etc, completely off.
