AR & AP

Post by fpchurch »

We have a data entry person who does entries in AP and AR & then the treasurer checks and posts/transfers to fund accounting. Is it possible to restrict the treasurer from changing or deleting data? If I restrict the delete and change option for the treasurer will it allow transferring/posting the entries to fund accounting?

When I tried restricting the delete and change option for the treasurer it then won't allow transferring/posting the entries to fund accounting. Any help appreciated,
There is no current way of doing this ... it is assumed that the person doing the posting can also do the entry.

However, there is nothing to stop the Treasurer from changing the transaction once its been posted to Funds Accounting. The Treasurer is the one who is responsible for all the Accounting areal; basically, the person where 'The Buck Stops Here'. They're going to fix the transaction either in AR or AP, or in Funds Accounting.

I don't see what you're trying to accomplish.
