I am on the Finance Committee of a church that uses Powerchurch. We have asked the Treasurer to print the General Ledger for the year to date. She says this is not an option in Powerchurch. Is it possible that a General Ledger cannot be printed at all or is it an issue of terminology? If it is a different term, what is the General Ledger called in Powerchurch?

I believe it is probably an issue with terminology.
"The general ledger works as a central repository for accounting data transferred from all subledgers or modules like accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, fixed assets, purchasing and projects. The general ledger is the backbone of any accounting system which holds financial and non-financial data for an organization. The collection of all accounts is known as ledger account. This may be a large book."
You are probably most interested in a Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Income and Expense Statement, Cash Management Report and possibly a Journal Report.
All of these reports are found in Fund Accounting > Reports - Fund Accounting.

My suggestion is to sit down with the Treasurer at the computer, and have the Treasurer pull up the various reports to see what Powerchurch offers.
Remember, Powerchurch accounting is fund accounting, and is on a cash basis. The kind of reports that you would get for a 'for profit' company using accrual accounting may not be the same you would get for a church.
