For purchases charged on a store account and later paid for...then some of those purchases are returned and credited to our account, how do you post a credit to that store?

For purchases charged on a store account and later paid for...then some of those purchases are returned and credited to our account, how do you post a credit to that store?

The obvious answer would be enter the same type of transaction that you originally entered for the purchase, but reverse the debits & credits. Again, that sounds too obvious, and too easy.
