Hi... I tried to electronically file my 2016 Q4 941 Federal witholding form but the Electronic filing web site has a message saying that it will be unavailable from Dec 16, 2016 to Jan 17, 2017 which is past the deadline for filing the Q4 941 reports. Do I have to go the paper route?

Larry, I believe that firm is a separate company and Powerchurch has no control over what happens there. However, you're operating under an erroneous assumption.

You have to deposit all the money withheld by Jan 15th, the 941 deadline is Jan 31st.

You can deposit the withholding using EFTPS before the 15th without a problem. However, if you have never used EFTPS to do your deposits, then you have no recourse, you have to print the paper 941.

I always deposit funds using EFTPS, and only send in a paper 941 as required without a payment.

Thanks... I do use the EFTPS as well and taking care of the money deposit has already been done. Thanks for the Jan 31st date... I have always filed the quarterly 941 report forms by the 15th. The e-file system should be back up by the 17th so all should be good. :D
