fica taxe error

For unknown reasons, an earlier pay check processed for the pastor had fica taxes taken out, and it was not caught. I have corrected the maintain item description which had apparently gotten checked incorrectly. Do I just void and redo the check in payroll to correct the issue. Thanks.

Yes, voiding then reissuing will also delete the 'withholding' from the liability account when you post the payroll.
