STARTING OVER

Version 8.5. I set up my software on Jan 1, 2008. I had done several things wrong, so I wanted just to wipe everything out and start over.
I closed out my year, thinking that would wipe everything out. I zeroed out all previous year balances in my Chart of Accounts. I still have information in my Unreconciled Trans Report, my Accounts Payable reports, and my contributions reports.
How do I get rid of "all" the data? Why didn't it all go away after I closed the year? I didn't want to delete my address files which would happen if I erased my software.
