Sub-Account Reports

I have four funds: Parish, School, Food Bank & Capital. I use sub-accounts to breakdown departments: school, Teen religious, Young Adult, Pre-School, Sacramental Prep, Music, Liturgy, Administration and Facilities. The sub-accounts allows each department head to have a true sense of their income/expenses and their remaining budgets. However, when an account number becomes deactivated it will still show up on the sub-account report making the report clumsy to read and unnessarly long. How can this be avoided?

Uncheck the "Include zero balance accounts" option box on the report options screen.
Otherwise, if you are choosing any additional columns in 2 through 9 that show the activity this account had, it will be included in the report. For example, the first column is always current period, if you choose Year To Date Actual in the second column, if you have had activity in that account this year, it will show, whether or not it is inactive, because the Excess Income/Expense balance at the bottom of the report would be wrong in the YTD column if it were excluded.

The Sub-Account report does not allow you to Uncheck the "Include zero balance accounts" option box on the report options screen.
The problem is that when I run the report for sub-account -020 which is only fund 02, all of the fund 01 numbers which have not been used for three years still show up on the report. Perhaps if there was a fund option in this report window?

If they are no longer used in the fund 01, why don't you just remove them from the fund ??

Wish you could easily delete the fund, but you can't because there is history attached. You can make the fund "inactive". The sub-account report prints out the entire chart of accounts regardless if it is active or not.
