I do not want to start our program over in order to make use of the default Chart of Accounts, but would like to see a copy of it...Is it available as a download or a pdf document that I could use for reference? Our chart of accounts was set up years ago - we've been using powerchurch for many years...so I've inherited the coa and over the years have tried to understand how to set up new accounts as the church has grown. I've been able to take some on site powerchurch classes, some online and have purchased some tutorials - so now I realize that there are some things I need to correct. It would be very helpful if I could just see the default powerchurch coa...any suggestions?
Thank you!!
Kathy

You could just install the program into a completely separate folder and have it create one so you can mess with it.nccchurch wrote:I do not want to start our program over in order to make use of the default Chart of Accounts, but would like to see a copy of it...Is it available as a download or a pdf document that I could use for reference? Re: Chart of Accounts
So I would make a folder named PowerchurchTest and load up the program disk and run an install? At some point in the install will it ask me where to save it? If that will work and not mess up my original program, that would be great!
Re: Chart of Accounts
Yes, that is basically it ... however, you don't have to manually create the folder, just enter that name when the installation program asks you where you want to install, the installation program will create the folder for you. I do advise that you RENAME the program icon so you can differentiate the TEST from the real one.nccchurch wrote:So I would make a folder named PowerchurchTest and load up the program disk and run an install? Also, the first time you start up the program, PCPlus will ask if you are upgrading from another version, make sure you answer NO !! This will force the program to install an empty database without a church name and so on. The only thing you HAVE to do is enter your CURRENT PCPlus serial number when asked for your church's information, all the other church info can be made up.
