Reconcile Problem

I am having a problem reconciling my PC account with the bank statement. In the deposits part (contributions) in PC I have one amount for 9/9/12 but on the bank statement the deposit is different for that date. It shows the correct amount of $12 more. I thought I made an error in the contributions but that date has the correct amount, same as the bank statement. Why is the deposit portion of PC different from my contribution?
The only thing I could find were 2 different contributions equaling $12 that I had entered into the Special Gifts account. I did a reversal and put them into a different account thinking for some reason it didn't accept the Sp Gifts account but it still is not showing it in my reconcile deposit portion.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Are you saying that there was one deposit you corrected, but the system did NOT add the transaction properly ?? I would check under
View Posted Contributions to see exactly what happened and where the money did go if the transaction processed properly.

When I went into Posted Contributions the amount for that date was correct with the Bank Statement $2,012, but when I went into Reconcile Bank Account in PC the deposit for that date said $2,000. I don't see how it didn't get the $12 when it's in the Posted Contributions and it also shows up on the individuals Contribution Statement.
I did a reverse in the individuals Posted Contribution and then re-entered it using a different account but the same date and it still doesn't show up on my Reconcile Bank Account, even when "posted" it.

The only connection between Funds Accounting and Contributions, is the 'read-only' access that is available to lookup Funds Account numbers when setting up Contribution Funds. Everything else is a
one way PUSH to Funds Accounting. When you POST Contributions to Funds Accounting two things happen:
1st: The contributions are posted within Contributions, that is, all the amounts are added to the envelopes, and to the totals.
2nd: The system creates a Funds Accounting transaction and puts it in the
Unposted Transactions queue in Funds Accounting.
Thats is, there is no other correlation. Anything you do in Funds Accounting will not be reflected in Contribution, and nothing you do in Contributions will be reflected in Funds Accounting unless you
Post Contributions to Funds Accounting .
If you try to Post Contributions and there is no corresponding Funds Account setup or entered under the Contribution Fund, I think you get an Informational message telling you that and giving you a chance to stop the posting, but the system will continue if you tell it to.

Did you
Post Contributions and did you post it to the correct month ??

Here are a couple of things to check, look at the contributions funds to see what accounts you have told them to use in fund accounting. If they aren't using the bank account you are trying to reconcile, then yes the deposit amount will be off by the amount that went to a different account.
Once you changed the contribution fund it went to, that isn't going to change the original amount since it was already posted but should add a new entry in then amount of a $12 deposit that should be available to reconcile in addition to the original entry. So that together they equal the original deposit.
Another thing would be, when you entered them to a different fund, did you use the same date? Depending on the version you are using, if you put a date in later than the bank statement date, it won't show in the reconcile screen.
Also check to make sure everything is posted. Hopefully this will help you figure out what is going on.
