How do you edit or change a working month ?

Its under Accounting / Fund Accounting / Change Working Month

That did not work. there are some "fixed" date's their, but it will not allow me to create a new date.

What version are you using?
You most likely have the max number of working months open. You can have up to 18 months open in version 11.1 and 11.5. You can either increase the number of months you can have open or close the oldest month currently open. To close a month go to Accounting > Fund Accounting > Close Month. This will close the oldest open month.
If you want to increase the number of open months allowed go to File > Preferences > Accounting Setup > Fund Accounting. The selection will be found about in the middle of the window. This is of course if you are using version 11.1 or 11.5.
