Payroll question

Post by nbccji »

I started using powerchurch at the beginning of our fiscal year (oct) but since tax information is a calendar year starting in Jan, how do I add the ytd tax info, total pay and hours to the stub or in the system itself?
Thank you for taking the time to help, Katie

When you say "tax information", do you mean payroll tax information?

You can set up pay items according to how you paid them in 2012, and run payrolls beginning with 1/1/12, change the date, and run them again, until you have re-run all the payrolls. I would do this and post all the information in the current month (presumably Oct 2012). Just make sure to do all this on manual checks, not printed checks.

Thanks. I like being able to place faces with all the names.

Hi John,

What if instead of adding each individual pay check per person I just entered the lump amount of what has been paid YTD prior to using PowerChurch?

That will work if you want the correct year-end data, such as W2's and such. You won't be able to get quarterly reports, for example.
