Restore of Prior Year Printing Problem V9
I have recently taken over as treasurer and after looking at how my predesessor made a complete mess of things from an accounting standpoint, I decided it would be in my best interest to basically do the "Start Over" option in accounting. I was able to close-out and make several backups of 2004 and get things going fine in 2005. My intent was to restore the 2004 backup information as needed in case I had to refer to historical information. This seems to work OK, but many of the reporting options will not let me select a date range from 2004, only 2005. The data appears to be there, as some of the reports (ie check register) will let me pick 2004 dates and view the information. Am I missing something? I have been backing-up and restoring just the "Accounting" files.

One of the thing PowerChurch does as it starts up is look to see when the first accounting transaction happened. It uses this information to populate those drops down lists for reports where you choose what year to report on. After restoring a backup you may need to restart PowerChurch so it can see the earliest year has changed. I'll write this up to see if it is something we can change to automatically happen when a backup is restored.
