File restore error

Postby charleshung » Mon Oct 17, 2011 9:44 am

I have been using version 8.5 for more than 5 years. All the sudden, I cannot restore all my backup file.

some files said: This backup contains files from version and cannot be restores to this version of PowerChurch Plus.

some files said : DynaZip UnZIP Error: bad CRC (Problem extracting file(s))

What is really happened? I am using Windows 7.

Thank you for your help and Jesus loves you!

Unfortunately, the DynaZip error usually indicates that either the media that the backup is saved on or the file itself is damaged. If you look at the file with Windows Explorer, you won't be able to see what data is in the backup but you should be able to view file names inside that compressed folder, does Windows give you an error?

I tried different use different kinds of storage media; they all show the same error. The files are storage in my hard drive and they had been working properly. Whenever I want to run old report, I copy files into a media and the program had no problem to restore the data. However, two weeks ago the error start appeared. I install the program into another computer and it still not working. Can I send you the file and let you try on 8.5 version. Or can you send me a test backup file and I can try it in my machine. My e-mail address is cccjfl@hotmail.com.

Thanks and Jesus loves you!

You can attach a backup to an email and send it in to data@powerchurch.com. Include your registration number and church information. We will try to restore it here.
