Wish there was some way to 'hide' some of the 'fund numbers' in the chart of accounts. In other words, after setting up the CoA, be able to make 'hidden' from user input fields such as invoices, checks, etc. This would help the one doing entry, to not accidently post a check to a fund balance, for example, because such would not be visible.
Has anyone found a way to do this, or is there something I've missed somewhere, or is this feature coming?
Thanks,
Gerald Branch

Verison 9 has a new feature to make an account inactive. These accounts will not show up in account lookups and these accounts cannot have new transactions posted to them.
Another new feature in version 9, we are showing the account type in the account lookups, so a person would see that they are selecting a fund balance account not an expense account.

Thanks, Jeff.
Having the category should help...I saw it, but I didn't, and just realized after looking at both versions how much easier it is to catch 'wrong CoA types' in v. 9.
Thanks for making that change.
