2011 Changes in employee ss withholding

Post by lindac »

I am still using PCP version 9. I don't quite understand how to separate the 6.2% employer liability from the new 4.2% employee liability for Social Security other than to manually figure the amounts. Payroll is not my strong area and I realize I need to upgrade but am not secure enough to make a huge change at end of year.
Can someone help me figure this out please?
Your help is greatly appreciated! :(

Check the end of this thread for an explanation of how to handle this.

My PC version didn't match your detailed explanation but I did find a reference to a PC notification in that thread for version 10.4 and prior. It was easy to follow. Thank you so much, you just lifted a TON of stress off my life!! What a blessing! :D
