Restriicted Donation on Balance Sheet

Post by CoveBaptist »

I have a Restricted Fund for Building Fund which at the end of each month we transfer the balance to a Money Market. At this point, all funds have been transferred. However, when I run my Balance Sheet, it still shows a balance in that account. I have checked each of the related accounts and all the proper transactions are there. I use a repeating transaction which reduces the opportunity for error. But I cannot figure out why a balance is showing. Any help would be appreciated! :wall:

A few things come to mind.

Did the transaction post?

Run an account activity on that account and see if the transaction appears there.

Run and account activity on the account that was the other account in the transaction and see if the amount shows up there.

What dates are you using when you run your report?

What month did you post the transaction into?

Run a Balance Sheet report showing the account numbers and see if the amount is in the account you think it is in.
