Why is the Cash Flow report not a Cash Flow Statement?

Post by camd »

I'm not an accountant, so maybe my understanding is not clear on what a Cash Flow Statement is. In PowerChurch, the Cash Flow report simply prints an account activity for the bank account I specify. When I look in my accounting textbook, a Cash Flow Statement is a financial statement that shows me how I spend my money.

Can someone clarify this for me?

You're right, the Cash Flow isn't a true Cash Flow report and in version 9 this report is called Check Register by Fund instead of Cash Flow.
