PowerChurch Products - Windows Compatibility
The table below shows PowerChurch products and the Windows OS versions they are compatible with. The legend can be found below the table. Compatibility issues vary from not being able to install or run at all to serious stability issues that can cause error messages, corruption, and data loss. It is highly recommended that you do not run PowerChurch products on unsupported/non-compatible Windows OS versions.
2018 Update: Windows 10 has introduced S Mode, where the computer is limited to only installing apps from the Microsoft Store. In this mode, the computer cannot run actual Windows desktop apps, which includes all versions of PowerChurch Plus and the PowerChurch Online/IDS Client software. You can permanently switch Windows out of S Mode at no charge.
2017 Update: The third party developers of PowerChurch Mailroom no longer support installing on Windows XP, Server 2003, or Vista. There are currently no known compatibility issues, but those Windows versions are no longer supported.
2016 Update: The Check In server component has been updated and now has a minimum requirement of Windows Vista or Server 2008. The Check In kiosk application will still work with Windows 2000/XP.
Windows 10 does not ship with .NET 2 runtimes installed by default. For certain features of PowerChurch Plus Version 10/10.4, users will need to manually download and install the .NET 2 runtime files from the Microsoft web site.
2015 Update: Updates to the e-mail components in PowerChurch Plus Versions 11/11.1 and 11.5/11.55 require Windows 2000 or higher. We have now removed Windows 98 and ME from the compatible OS versions list.
2014 Update: PowerChurch Plus Version 9 has officially been removed from Windows Vista, 7, and 8 compatibility lists. Version 9 users have been experiencing problems recently due to Windows and Antivirus updates. Since Version 9 is no longer under maintenance, it will not receive any further updates to work around these problems and the only solution would be to upgrade to the latest version of PowerChurch Plus.

* Windows 8 was available in both desktop and tablet platforms. The tablet versions (RT) do not run Windows desktop programs and are therefore not compatible with PowerChurch products.
** Some computers come with Windows 10 in "S" mode. PowerChurch products (and other non-Windows Store apps) aren't able to be installed in this mode.
*** PowerChurch Plus Version 7 will only run on computers with 768MB or less of RAM.
