Membership Entry Guidelines/Procedures

Hello,

I've been asked to put together a membership and newcomer (visitor) entry guideline and procedure process.

If anyone out there in powerchurch land has a guideline/procedure you are willing to share, would you please email it to me?

mailto:jkoke@greatbridgecog.org

AdvanceThanks,
Jeff

It's always a good idea to plan out a numbering scheme that leaves room for future expansion. In versions prior to 9, it was essential in order to get decent reporting. In 9, however, we introduced Departments, Types, and Roles. Departments, Types, and Roles will allow you to classify your differen...

AdvanceThanks!

Re: Advice on selecting church accounting/contribution syste

I am currently heading the committee in change of selecting a new accounting/contribution tracking system for our church (about 550 avg Sunday attendance). I would like any advice anyone has to offer. Specifically, if you could comment on how well Power Church has meet your needs. Other software we...

Re: How do I handle credit card donations?

Not "cash", not "check", but donations made by credit card. We've just started letting people pay their pledges, or make donation by credit card. Is there a way to handle this in PowerChurch? Right now we're listing them as cash, but that throws off the deposit report. We're hand-editing the deposi...

Re: Multiple Computers/Users

Beckyn, I strongly, strongly suggest you rethink this entire process. If you have need of people using PowerChurch external to your network, I suggest you look into the services of gotomypc.com or logmein.com or something similar. <This is not an endorsement of either company and I do not work for e...

Neil,

We're doubling the size of our facility. Once complete, a 1000 seat sanctuary is on the drawing board.

I've got three 48 port 10/100/1000 switches going in, new phone switch, alarm system, etc.

The fun has begun!

Hope your move was uneventful.

Re: Emergency contacts

We want to be able to store emergency contact information at the family level. I wonder if anyone has solved this problem. We're thinking we need a contact name and number in two situations: 1. a child has an emergency at an event and the parents are not available - who do we call? 2. a single elde...

Re: Need help rebuilding data after server crash

I have recently taken over as network administrator and was left a mess. No backups, archives, even manuals are gone! Previous admin was running Windows 2000 SBS and Server 2003 together, SBS server physically crashed recently. I was able to copy all Powerchurch files from the old server through a ...

Neil, I wish you and your wife well in this new direction. It sounds like you'll be taking on an entirely different dimension of ministry, and that's ok. I've been nose down in a building program of late. We just finished running about 4200 feet of phone and data CAT wire to each office and ministry...

Vernon,

Great find! I've also asked about not having the year as a requirement, but basically got the same response.

How about running two statements, selecting the appropriate contribution funds and selecting the requisite time frames?

Just a thought.
