Re: Do you photocopy checks?
Thank you. I also see a serious liability issue because we definitely do not have a secure place to store records. Also, lining up all the checks on the photocopy machine is not easy. They tend to fly around and I'm always afraid one will get lost behind the copier when I'm not looking. I have had o...

Do you photocopy checks?
Dear fellow Powerchurch users, do you photocopy checks before depositing them?
We have not but our new minister prefers that we do.
Would love to hear your opinions.

Re: balancing between reports
Thank you for these comments. I appreciate the followup. I am going to print this out and put it in my file. We hire an outside professional accountancy firm to review and balance our books as we had a period with no professional accountancy within the church. The accountant's procedure for proving ...

Re: balancing between reports
I wanted to add my .02 in solving this problem. we spent hours and hours trying to figure this out. First off, we had an easy solution to this problem one month. We were closing October. The checks that were written with issue dates in the first few days of November, but for invoices in the accounti...

Thank you so much! I will definitely use this solution - it is way more sophisticated than I could have come up with myself.

How to account for a "scrip" fundraiser like Manna
Hello all. Our church runs a "scrip program" wherein our members purchase gift cards at face value from The Manna Group, but The Manna Group sells them to us at a discount. We collect payment from our members and Manna charges us about 95% of the value of the cards plus a small service fee. Therefor...

Re: Just need to make a simple total at bottom of report
Thank you. It's so frustrating when you know something is very easy to do but you can't see how to get started doing it.

Just need to make a simple total at bottom of report
I am banging my head against the wall trying to make this work.
Field is called "amount"
I need a summary of "amount" per person on each page of the report.
Why does sum(Qmf_temp.amount) return as invalid, and then crash my Powerchurch application when I try to preview the report?
