Re: Powerchurch over Synology NAS
Good morning Zorak, Thanks again for your reply. In your statement: "The Check In Server component is a Windows service, so it will have to be running on a Windows computer", should I assume that it means that I may need to setup a windows vm in the Synology NAS in order to install/run the Check In ...

Re: Powerchurch over Synology NAS
I thank you for your help in my previous post. I have follow-up questions. I am installing Check-in in the Synology NAS as well. Is there any limitation in running Check-in on a Synology NAS? The reason of my asking is that when I get to configuring the server, I am having some issues. I ran the pcs...

Powerchurch over Synology NAS
Good morning PC community, I am trying to convert from a single PC to a networked environment at our church. We are currently running Powerchurch version 12. Do you know if PowerChurch can be installed in a Synology DS920 NAS? If so, any recommendation/instruction available for that please? Regards,...

Routing & Account Numbers on Custom Checks
Good morning,
We are trying to have PC print checks instead of handwriting them. Does anyone know how the routing and account numbers are entered if using a blank check form (purchased from a local office supply store)?
Regards,
Richard

Middle name not printing in contribution statment
PC community,
We are currently using PC vers. 11.5. For some reason, we noticed that the middle names are NOT printing when we print an individual contribution statement. Anyone has an idea on how to correct that please?
Regards,
Richard M.

Re: Error when importing from Excel
Thanks for your input Zorak. Using Notepad, as suggested to look at the csv file, I noticed a double quotation mark ("1,000.00") around every number greater than 1,000. I am not sure why this happened, but at least, as you pointed out, there is some strange number formatting happening in the file. W...

Re: Error when importing from Excel
Neil, Thanks for your input. I don't think that your theory is accurate as I have values that are up to three digits...such as $46 (appears as 46 in the csv file) or $160 (appears as 160 in csv file)... and they did not import as $0.46 (46 cents) nor $1.60; in other words, I did not have to pad the ...

Error when importing from Excel
Good morning PC community, I need your help. I have imported contributions from Excel into PC and I believe that I have formatted the data as required. My findings is that for any amounts above $1,000, only the first digit are considered. For example, if amount in the csv file is $1,060, the importe...

Re: Audit Log
I truly appreciate your input. This is very helpful, although I would have loved the opportunity to "see" who last edited a profile while viewing the actual profile (under 'Maintain Personal Profiles' screen perhaps). I take it that this is not currently an option. Thank you very much!

Audit Log
Greeting PC community, Is there a way to determine which user made what changes in PC (11.55)? I see the Audit Log (under Utilities) which basically only shows when a backup was generated. So, in other words, can I find a log that shows which profiles were last edited by a user? Regards, Richard

Checkin Service will not start
All, I have installed Check In 11 on a computer running Windows Server 2012. When I try to run the pcserver11 (application) I get "Error# 1053 - The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion." When I try to launch the Check In Kiosk, I get an "Unable to connect to t...

Re: Deleted contribution funds showing in accounting setup
All, Thanks for your help. I got the answer. I was not sure how to rerun the accounting wizard, hence I took a leap of faith and accepted the setup as is. I then proceeded to the Accounting header and went to FUND ACCOUNTING - SETUP - ACCOUNTING SETUP which is a rerun of the wizard. All contribution...

Re: Deleted contribution funds showing in accounting setup
To answer your questions, Yes I have deleted the old data using the DELETE OLD DATA function of the Contributions, and then deleted some and renamed other funds using the Maintain List of Contributions Funds. In the Accounting setup, I am at the point where I can either COMPLETE THE ACCOUNTING SETUP...
