I took over PC this year, with minimal training :) I made some entries posting to the wrong account and now need to correct them. Do I just reverse the entry and post it correctly? Do I need to go back and re-reconcile that month's bank statement? Or just click both items this month when I reconcile...

That answers my question, IRS regs rule. I thought I had to put them in under prior year since that was when checks were dated. It was our fault that the checks were in a different place and were not deposited until 2012. Thanks for your help - Jane

I have a contribution for 2012 which also includes a few checks left over from 2011. Do I just make them separate contributions and make notes so I match them up when I do my bank reconciliation?
