Nevermind, I got it and am posting in case someone finds this in a future search.
I just had to assign a drive letter to it, and I KNEW that. D'Oh!

Re: Completed database file list
I'm responding to this ancient thread because we are in the same situation, version 12. Sunday afternoon our finance folks said they could not access PowerChurch so on Monday I found that our Dell server circa 2007 is not booting up at all. Since PowerChurch is the only thing we've been using it for...

Preformatted Deposit Slip
We are revamping our accounting and contribution process and have not been printing contribution reports in the past 4 years since I've been here but will be now.. When we select preformatted deposit slip, the information printed does not seem to be what we can use. Is there a FAQ or help topic that...

Re: Separate Income and Expense reporting
I would just setup a separate Accounting Fund, use a different Asset number (normally the checking is 1110-000) I'd use 1120-000 for the new one. Then I would setup Donor Restrictions for all those different areas using the Donor Restriction Assistant. It will guide you through creating an income, ...

Re: Separate Income and Expense reporting
The previous finance director did not properly account for restricted funds which led to the issues.
To assure our members, we did indeed open a secondary checking account for all designated funds.

Separate Income and Expense reporting
We are revamping our chart of accounts and seeking to streamline some of our reporting, and have various designated funds with their own non-budgeted expenses (food pantry, health ministry, flowers, etc). Unfortunately our former director of finance co-mingled general and designated funds and used u...

Re: deleting all families
All set again.
fwiw I'm using Office 2010 and when I exported the Access database to Excel '97 format PowerChurch continued to populate the fields with only the first characters.
I exported it instead to '95 format and it imported no problem.

Re: deleting all families
Thanks Neil, that's perfect. I have not done any more than add users and permissions and I can easily re-create that. I'm trying to follow the attached format for importing data. What I had done was export it from Access as a .xls file, but I did not open it in Excel and be sure it would be exported...

deleting all families
No, I'm not just mad at them. :x I'm setting up a new installation of PowerChurch and our current member list is in an Access Database. I modified it to match the field order needed and exported it as an Excel spreadsheet. When I imported it, it only imported the first character in each field so I w...
