voided check in closed month

I voided a check in a closed month and now have an "unposted" amount in my reports. How do I clear this up? When I click on post transactions I'm told that I have no unposted items.

Re: parsonage rent with a twist

Thanks John - I very much appreciate your help. I will change the sub account as you suggested. I assume you meant to put 01-4050-126 Parsonage Rent Income credit $400 not $1000 when you wrote the transaction below otherwise I'm back to needing that $600 entry again because it would be out of balanc...

Re: parsonage rent with a twist

No the donation is not deductable as Neil mentioned and I let the member know that when he approached me about it. Also our YP has not yet recieved his credentials (though should within the next 60 days) so he does not have the duel tax status at this point. But thanks for raising that question beca...

parsonage rent with a twist

we are currently renting the parsonage to our youth pastor for $1000 per month which would be a simple transaction to post however we have a member that is contributing to help him out with the rent. I set up a contribution account to cover the weekly donation but I'm not sure how it should be poste...

Adjusting beginning balances in assets

In our haste to get Powerchurch up and running for the first of the year the decision was made to enter the original loan (mortgage) amounts as our beginning balances for the church and parsonage fixed assets. I am reasonably certain I need to debit each of the fixed asset account to bring them to t...

Re: Errors in Equity

Jeff and John - thank you both very much! I have adjusted all expense accounts to close to 3110 and that has fixed the equity issue though I do have a couple of adjusting entries to make releasing funds that were just expensed and not released on other transactions.

Errors in Equity

I am a new user to PowerChurch and have apparently made some mistakes in setting up the accounts. Our church tracks a number of different temporarily restricted funds. Most of these funds will first use the donations for expenses and if there is not sufficient money in that equity account the balanc...
