Re: Reconsile Issue - Again...
Hello to Ngaham - I feel your frustration. Neil you may recall helping me with the same issue because we had many posts. I never did figure out why I couldn't reconcile. I finally installed a fresh copy of power church, restored an old backup which was 4 months back when the problems began and re-en...

income
have a situation where tuition income is coming in 2016-2017 for 2017-2018 budget year. it doesn't need to be shown as income on this year's budget. it goes directly to bank so is included on bank statement. what is the proper way to enter these transactions?

Re: restricted vs designated contribution funds
Thank you Neil. Looks as if I am doing correctly. Your reply leads to another question. Seems the real confusion lies in the definition of designated vs donor restriction. How to correctly distinguish between the two. In your example of the memorial fund why is this not a donor restriction or even d...

restricted vs designated contribution funds
Want to make sure my understanding is correct in the restricted vs designated contribution funds as I will be training another person to use power church 11.5. Just a little clarification needed. I'll use an example. Donor gave $1000 and specified for the youth dept. This was entered in the contribu...

Re: payroll tax ?
Thanks anyway, Neil. You've been a tremendous help. By the way, the trial balances and balance sheets are what they're supposed to be.

payroll tax ?
Hi Neil - it's me again. You had answered my payroll questions in the contribution post but I didn't want to continue in the wrong category with a new question, I have hopefully resolved all the issues between fund 01 and fund 03 about moving the funds through the system. This was for our preschool....

Re: incorrect contribution posting

Payroll for school is done thru power church in fund 03 then entered in bank as ach direct deposit using the school's account. at least that part agrees with power church. The church files taxes on line and includes the school taxes. I then transfe...

Re: incorrect contribution posting
Instead of posting to update the contribution module only, posted contributions to update fund accounting. Transactions have not been posted yet to Fund Accounting. Should I go ahead and post, then do a reversal. Then what. Do I have to correct contributions and then repost to contributions only. Re...

incorrect contribution posting
1. in error, posted some contributions to update fund accounting instead of contributions. Have not posted them to fund accounting yet. Is there a way to correct this? 2. When transferring from an account in another fund to an account in the general fund other than checking, is it necessary to use t...
