Re: Vanco for donations to temporary restricted funds

Followup to my earlier post about online donations, and the use of Vanco. I did go ahead and sign up for the Vanco service for our online giving program after getting the church approval. Here is what I found in the implementation process, which might be helpful to others: 1) The initial call with V...

Re: Vanco for donations to temporary restricted funds

Thanks Neil, I plan to call Vanco. My thoughts are to better characterize my question on our configuration and seek comments from others with similar needs. Thats the reason for the new post. Looking forward to hearing what others say too.
Thank you for your help.

Vanco for donations to temporary restricted funds

Question, We are considering Vanco to accept and process online donations. We are using the desktop version of Powerchurch and have the following 3 accounting funds using one checking account: 1) General 2) Designated (Temporary Restricted comprised of several individual fund areas) 3) Building / Ca...

Re: Using Givelify for Online Contributions

Thx… we are using the desktop version of Powerchurch. Will vanco work with desktop? And… We have 3 accounting funds: General (fund 01) Designated (fund 02) (with multiple designations) Building (fund 03) (with multiple designations) If we received an online donation for one of the designated funds, ...

Re: Using Givelify for Online Contributions

We are also considering on line options for accepting donations. After reading through this thread, can we do the following? Using PayPal, or other on line giving solution, our church would pay the transaction fee on each contribution. So… with a $100.00 donation that carried a $2.00 fee, our approa...

Purchase a CD

Question…. Our church may elect to use some money from savings to purchase a CD to earn more interest. It’s likely we would buy the CD from another bank with better rates, so we would have to transfer funds from savings to checking, then write the check for the purchase. I understand how to transfer...

Re: Payroll tax deferral / 941 form

Thanks again, Neil. I’ve looked at the IRS site also and found that they are working on an update to the 941 to accommodate the withholding change, if implemented by employers. I agree that it would be less cumbersome on employers to go on with withholding as normal, assuming that the taxes would no...

Payroll tax deferral / 941 form

Anybody have any suggestions on how to implement the payroll tax deferral, and how it will affect the 3Q2020 941 form?

I’m kinda stumped on what to do...

Thx,

Greg

Re: Version 11.5 - 4/16/2020 Maintenance Release

Thanks to all for your responses. Got my email working by logging into church computer, followed the message to also log into our gmail account, set up app permissions, and it worked fine. Hope this settles the issue - as it has been a little tricky through the years we've used PC to send emails. So...

Re: Version 11.5 - 4/16/2020 Maintenance Release

I'm using a gmail account to send email - and it was working until the last update. Got any ideas on what options to select to use just a standard gmail account for sending email reports from powerchurch - desktop version?

Thanks Greg

Re: System Email setup error message

I had to go into my google set up to allow the use of "less secure apps" and the Powerchurch email then worked. I don't much like that solution - due to security concerns, but the change did allow the email to be sent from within Powerchurch.

Re: Library Book Labels

Thanks again - Neil. I agree - the Powerchurch records for library are fairly rudimentary - we'll probably go another way. Greg Anyone have any experience with using PC 12 for library books? We are looking at adding the library inventory data (via import or manual) into PC 12. The standard PC report...
