Re: Monthly Reports
That makes total sense! The elders see what they'd like on the report, and I'm not having to manually figure out percentages. On the same thread, since we've already had two Sundays and posted those contributions, is there a way to change how they show up this month, or should I let them know that n...

Re: Monthly Reports
I'm hoping for some assistance on how, if possible, to change the display on a couple of the reports. When you pull up the Income and Expense and Budget Reports, the amounts the church tithes to other missions shows under the contributions, pulling their percentage of support from the total contrib...

Re: Pastors' Salary, Etc. Categories
In the past, our church has done manual payroll processing and entered our pastors' salaries in as expenses only when posting transactions. Each pastor has his own lines in the budget: Pastor 1 Salary, Pastor 2 Salary, Pastor 3 Salary, and so on for Housing, Medical, and Retirement. When we pay ite...

Re: Pastors' Salary, Etc. Categories
Additionally, when I get to the Liability page for health insurance and retirement, we don't have those set up as liabilities; they're listed as expenses. Ideally, I'd fix that so printing W-2s next year is simpler. How do I change the way they're currently set up from Expenses to Liabilities?

Re: Reconciling YEARS of Transactions
Okay, I followed the suggestion in this link: http://www.powerchurch.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3981&p=13706&hilit=reconcile+adjustment#p13706 I entered in the amount, saved it, posted it, then went back into the reconciliation. It zeroed out! I've got backups of everything, so if the elders want...

Re: Reconciling YEARS of Transactions
Okay, I've gotten through December, and I have the same difference that I had with each of the other reconciliations. The 'Check Register' report for December is $x and the bank statement is $x + $2,338.73. Can you walk me through the correction? I assumed I'd just create a deposit that doesn't exis...

Re: Reconciling YEARS of Transactions
I've just changed the settings to 18 months. That'll be helpful going forward. When I run the report for the check register for Dec. 2015, the balance shows an amount lower than our bank statement for the month. That's where my assumption comes in that we're off in the church's favor. I've done the ...

Reconciling YEARS of Transactions
As I mentioned in another thread, I've just become our church treasurer. Our church has been using PC since 2003, and the account has never been reconciled. Contributions and transactions are posted every month, but that's as far as it has ever gone. I would love to begin the new year with doing rec...

Re: Contribution Credited to Wrong Donor
Oh my goodness, it worked! Thank you both! Thankfully both transactions were for the general fund, so I didn't need to change anything other than the contributor. I've printed and delivered both corrected statements, and have a happy member!

Contribution Credited to Wrong Donor
I've just become our church treasurer, and have spent the past month exploring PowerChurch, the manual, and these forums as I try and learn the ropes. As you're all much more experienced, I'm hopeful you'll be able to answer my question. I printed and have begun delivering/mailing the year-end contr...
