Posting AR Invoices

It seems that AR invoices are only posted to FA after they have been paid. Is there a way to post the invoice once it is generated, and then post the payment when it is made?

Clearing Education Library

In our PC12 software, we have been entered thousands of books into the education library on behalf of the seminary that also shares the same building. The seminary has just purchased their own version of PC12. We backed up the education library, and then restored the backup into the new software. No...

Re: Withholding Too Much Payroll Tax

Thanks. Yes, we are on version 12. It seems that the tax is based on the annualized amount of the paycheck, not the annual income. For example, if the employee was paid 3000 once a month, then the system would compute the tax for 36000 per year and divide by 12. That amount would then be the tax. Bu...

Withholding Too Much Payroll Tax

We have an employee who was authorized for a bonus in addition to the monthly salary. This bonus was earned for 3 years of continuous employment. I added a payroll income item for the bonus. However, when the system calculates the tax, it seems to take the amounts of the tax table and divide by 12 f...

Re: Using PC for Seminary

With the upgraded AR module, it can definitely be used for what you want to do. You'll definitely have to change the Mailing Categories, and Personal Profile Status codes from the defaults, but it will cover many of the items you need to track. You'll need to have a mailing list profile, and person...

Using PC for Seminary

Greetings, Our church has been using PC for our church records and it has been a great tool. Our convention owns and operates a seminary. They are looking for software to track students (interested, enrolled, alumni), student accounts (charges & payments), financial accounting, payroll, and fixed as...

Cash Management Report by Fund

Is a way to run the Cash Management report by fund (either range or all). We want to see our available cash position in our 01 Operations fund separately from our RU Restrict Use Fund. We have 01-1110 and RU-1110 for example. We would like to be able to run separate reports based on the different fu...

Re: Statement of Activities

I found the error, it was my understanding of the report. The Statement of Activities report is a consolidated report, not a "by fund" report. The RF-4870-107 release is reporting under TEMPORARILY RESTRICTED column, and the RF-4999-000 is reporting under the UNRESTRICTED column. So everything is go...

Re: Move from Fund 01 to Fund 02

The transaction history and audit trail would be on fund 01 for all the transactions already in history. But then what I am asking is doing something like 01/31/2015 01-4710-101 DB 1000.00 01/31/2015 02-4710-101 CR 1000.00 02/28/2015 01-4710-101 DB 750.00 02/28/2015 02-4710-101 CR 750.00 So the fund...

Re: Move from Fund 01 to Fund 02

2015 is still open, and this request came from the 2015 audit. Let’s just say we are FAR behind in our accounting but are working hard to get caught up. There were no checks written from our mission house fund in 2015, only income. In 2016 there was income and one expense (release from restriction)....

Move from Fund 01 to Fund 02

Our auditors have asked if we could set up a new fund for our reserve accounts (donor restricted funds, donor restricted income, etc). Our transactions are already entered into fund 01 (there are MANY of them for 2015-2017 years). I set up fund 02 for our reserve accounts and selected the GL account...

Re: Church Restricted Funds

Yes that helps! Our church struggles to set funds aside for these type of payments. So even if we budget for it, there is a greater likelihood that the funds would be inadvertently spent mid-year. But creating the liability accounts is a great way that will make us more aware that we are setting asi...

Church Restricted Funds

I am needing to set up some church restricted funds. For example, we are required by Botswana law to pay out severance funds upon the employee leaving the church's employment or at the end of 5 years, which ever comes first. So we thought about creating a category of CHURCH RESTRICTED FUNDS that we ...
