Re: Importing data
You said " but say if someone " that usually means a hypothetical. Not having any backups whatsoever is going to cause you to have to manually enter all that data. There isn't ONE backup available? I don't want to go into details here, but let's just say we aren't happy. At the moment, I'm planning...

Re: Importing data
Hi, Zorak, thanks. My 'person' spreadsheet does include what I believe is that number, listed as mail_no in the export. That's not the number that is assigned by the system. It is an internal index not usually visible to the user. As I asked previously, is there a reason you don't want to migrate t...

Re: Importing data
OK, as I suspected (I'm sure there's a good reason, but it would be useful!). Is that kind of upload a service the PC team offers?

Re: Importing data
Specifically, I have a Person export I'd like to use, but I'm not sure there's an interface for uploading that data.

Re: Importing data
Yes... but if, by some terrible accident, a backup was not available and we were starting from scratch, with a few spreadsheets?

Importing data
I suspect my church will soon be moving to PowerChurch Online. I've found the .csv option for importing family data. Is there anything comparable for person data, or does all of that need to be added by hand? If we supplied a spreadsheet, could the PC team do the import, and do you have an approxima...

Re: Police background check bug?
Resolved! Still not entirely sure why. Upon logging in to check the issue today, two of the people were not marked as adults - and thank you, I hadn't really considered the cause and effect there. I'll keep that in mind in future. (By the way, what is the age of adulthood in the system? Is it set so...

Re: Police background check bug?
These 4 records have nothing in common Nothing obvious, at least! Different mailing and personal statuses, etc. and have all been assigned to activities that other profiles have the background checks show up? Exactly. You do have the latest Maintenance Release, dated 06/19/2018 installed? I'm going...

Didn't work! Too bad, it sounded like it might. Any other suggestions?
Thank you!

Police background check bug?
I'm running PC+ 11.55 on Windows 7. I'm exploring the new police background check function. I've added people to activities and checked off that the activities require police background checks. I've added about sixty background check dates to personal profiles. However, the background check fields a...

Re: Historical Committee member tracking
Am I right in saying there's no way to view offices served from the person record? Can you only see it in reports? I'm finding that counterintuitive. When I look up a parishioner I'm looking for the 'story' of their time at this church, and it's not practical for me to pull an 'offices served' repor...
