Re: Best Practices - Asset Accounts?
These should be kept under a separate Equity account for tracking. Interesting - I haven't seen any examples of breaking the equity accounts like this and in fact is the first time I've seen a reference to segregating the Net Assets by liquidity type. Let me clarify -- I've always separated Assets ...

Re: Best Practices - Asset Accounts?
Thanks for the reply, and what you say makes good sense. Unfortunately I think I led us too deeply into the weeds and in the wrong direction and we've missed the point of the original question so I'll restate it a bit differently. The Net Assets portion of the Balance Sheet tells you how much is in ...

Re: Best Practices - Asset Accounts?
Thanks for the reply! I think I understand the process setting up the donor restrictions and releases, but the documentation is very short of coherent examples using consistent accounts. Additionally, most PC+ documents don't reflect the changes from FASB ASU 2016-14. I know it only applies to "exte...

Re: Auditing reports

Donor Restrictions - Release from Restrictions not right
We're on Version 14.4 The accounting that is being generated when I select Release Restricted Funds on invoices is not correct. I know I haven't set something up right, but I need insight into what I'm missing. Our data is old, we've been using PC+ for many years so we're always making minor changes...
