Re: Corporate Payee Name on AP Cheques

Thank you both for the fast response and the explanation. I have no idea why they can't deposit the cheque and yet have two very different names. Might be because Canadian banks are very picky.

I'll update my vendor and thank you for the suggestion regarding the vendor ID.

Corporate Payee Name on AP Cheques

I am using PowerChurch Plus 14 and have the latest maintenance release installed. I printed a check in the AP module and had it returned to me because the payee printed incorrectly. This is an organization that is doing business as "Local Company" with its head office far away in "Big City". I set u...

Re: Starting Donor Restrictions on old data

Thanks Neil. That is the direction I decided to go. Nice to have it confirmed. It does make sense that all entries would now close to the new restricted account because there's no way to tell the system that it is in effect from a certain day. I'm considering changing the existing account number to ...

Re: Starting Donor Restrictions on old data

Yes I ran a Balance Sheet on the Accounting Fund. (It's 02 in our books. Not sure why.) Yes the funds that were in the Fund Balance are now in the Restricted Equity account. The amount in the new Restricted Equity (3812) matches the Account Activity report for the Income Account. I ran a second Dono...

Re: Starting Donor Restrictions on old data

Hi Neil, In my original post I said: "I would have to create the Release accounts and Restricted Equity accounts, but we already have Income accounts for each restricted area." I do want to use existing accounts if possible. When creating a donor restriction there is the option to use existing accou...

Re: Starting Donor Restrictions on old data

Yes I did a backup of all data. Yes I used the Maintain a List of Donor Restrictions function under Fund Accounting. Yes temp restricted. As mentioned I used existing Income accounts, but had to set up new Release and Equity accounts as they didn't exist yet. I changed the income account closing to ...

Starting Donor Restrictions on old data

We've been using PowerChurch Plus for many years and have never set up Donor Restrictions. I would like to start using it and integrate it into our existing chart of accounts. I would have to create the Release accounts and Restricted Equity accounts, but we already have Income accounts for each res...

Re: Merge Payroll Items

To be clear, I am talking about the Maintain Item Descriptions window, where we have 89 different Payroll Items listed. Many are duplicates; we have 10 EI expense items. (Each employee has their own payroll items that are not used for other employees). I understand this is not necessary; one EI expe...

Merge Payroll Items

We have been using PowerChurch for a number of years and have accumulated a lot of payroll items. None can be deleted because they have been used. Is there any way to merge payroll items? For example, each employee has an item for federal tax, but they could each use the same one going forward. I wo...
